Don’t you just hate those pesky ‘Picked For You’ pins on Pinterest? Those pins that persistently pop up ruining your otherwise beautifully curated news feed.
I have been using Pinterest since late 2011 and I always used to LOVE my news feed! It was full of pretty from all of the profiles I chose to follow. The people who inspire me, the brands and businesses I love. But then Pinterest decided it knew better!
Just like Facebook, it introduced an algorithm and started stuffing my news feed with Pins it thought I would like more…..wrong!
But don’t despair because being the Pinaholic I am, I know a way to get rid of them, and to reclaim your news feed returning it to the thing of beauty and inspiration it once was! (I wouldn’t be much of a Pinterest Expert if I didn’t 🙂) And the great news is it takes but a moment and couldn’t be easier!
So, if you have a spare minute or two now and are logged into Pinterest I will begin……
(if you haven’t though, or are on task and resisting the temptation to be distracted, just pin the image above and come back to it later. I’m not going anywhere! :))
How to Turn Off Picked for You Pins in 4 Easy Steps
1. Click the bolt icon in the top left of your profile section, you will find it just under the search bar at the top of the page…..
2. Click “Home Feed” in the menu on the left…..
3. Click the “Picked for you Pins” and toggle it to ‘No’ to turn the feature off…. (Click again and it will turn red and toggle to yes, which means you have turned the feature back on)
4. Click the ‘Save Settings’ button…..
And ta dah!!!! No more ‘Picked For You Pins’. You are back to a beautifully curated News Feed of only the people you love.
You’re welcome! 🙂
